January 2011

It was a cooking party at our house! The West kids are so much fun to have around! What great sub-siblings for Scarlet. They have been so wonderful to the girls! Love you guys! Logan and Jess were the pizza dough makers and Hunter made banana bread practically all by himself and it was really good! Scarlet doesn't like getting her hands dirty, but we're working on that. Thanks for the fun night!

This was just too cute, I had to get a picture of Scarlet and her cousin Peyton half in and out of Scarlet's tent watching, I don't remember what, completely absorbed. What's really cute is that Peyton is smiling because of the show, I couldn't get their attention if I yelled "fire."

Scarlet's "Pa" (grandpa Len) was going on a work trip and she was going with grandma to take him to the airport. I told her she needed to get dressed to go and then I went to nurse Ginger. I kept hearing this rustling and called to her from my room asking her what she was doing. She then told me that she was packing. I asked her for what and she said her trip with Pa. I had to see what she was doing, so I went in there and saw that she had packed.

She packed every pair of underwear she owns, all of her shirts (no pants) her books, stuffed animals, and a couple of blankets. It was so darn cute. I laughed and asked her where she was going and for how long and she told me about the airplane and that she would be far away. I was so amused by her packing, but it was sad to have to explain to her that she wasn't going on the airplane, only to take him and that he would be back in a few days. She got over it and we cleaned up together. She has a learning globe that has lots of geographical features and one is a volcano and she asked if we could go there someday on an airplane. Count on it! Hawaii here we come! Well, someday anyway.

January 2011

Lots of smiles after a fun day at Red Robin's and a trip to Walla Walla park to feed the ducks ( not geese) and see a kid fall in through the ice! -Not any of our kids, thankfully. Those cheeks are so kissable! Love that baby!

Scarlet's new thing is to pretend to be a kitty cat. This is what this little kitty wants for breakfast now: cheetos and a bowl of water. (it was so cute, I had to let her have it just once!) You should have seen her try to eat the cheetos out of the bowl with her mouth; she tried a few times and then gave up and used her hands!

A 9am tea party with pink frosted strawberry shaped brownies with sprinkles on top and warm chocolate milk. It was so precious! They even called me "sir" and ate like little ladies and used their manners. I don't know if I've ever been called sir before. :)

Goodbye, uncle Sonny!!!! This was taken the night of his ordaining. He was supposed to leave the next morning but a snow storm delayed him an extra day and forced them to drive to Spokane. Charlie sure loves his brother and I really can't blame him. What a great kid!

PS: Sonny will be serving in the Belo Horizonte, Brazil mission. He's at the MTC in provo until March. You can check him out at Missionsite.net and type in his name and it will give you his mission info.

more Christmas

Merry Christmas!

Such a smiley little babe! Even after the Christmas Eve program that was a little long for her.

I did so much baking and cleaning my hands kept splitting, so i went to wearing gloves and Scarlet was my little helper.

At our ward Christmas party, sweet little Ginger sleeping with her daddy.

With Santa after a fun night of caroling.

Don't know what this was all about...Silly boys!

Ginger practicing for her big appearance as baby Jesus in the ward Nativity. She lasted all of 2 minutes in the cradle until I had to get up and snatch her for fear she would start screaming and ruin it. :)

. Our first trip to see Santa with the cousins at the City Hall lighting. Scarlet was so excited and ready to ask for a Snow White movie, which she got.

Ginger is just precious, what a sweet little snowbaby!

Christmas!

Our family gingerbread train. Turned out pretty cute and lots of fun to decorate and eat later!
Scarlet meant to lick the frosting and licked the lid to the food coloring...Isn't she so beautiful? :)She's a funny helper sometimes.

One of our favorite family traditions is going across the street to the church nativity. They have lots of things for kids to do like color, play puppets and the nativity scene complete with dress up gear...

Scarlet was the entire Nativity all by herself!

My favorite, the sweet little angel and the baby Jesus.
